WPC is looking for a talented Associate Photographer to join our growing team. As a vital member of our creative team, you will be a trusted extension of the WPC brand—expanding our capacity to serve more clients while delivering a refined and positive customer experience. The dynamic nature of this role requires that the ideal candidate demonstrates exemplary professionalism, photographic talent and communication skills. Responsibilities include collaborating with lead photographers, calendar management, seamless execution of event work and the creation of quality images consistent with WPC’s award-winning brand standard. This role is not for beginner photographers. Ideal candidates will have at least 4 years* of prior lead photography experience and possess the technical skills & equipment necessary to execute high-quality work. As part of a collaborative team you will be joining a friendly and supportive work environment, but very much expected to showcase your skills as a trusted and reliable independent worker.

  • Photographic Execution:
    • Capture high-quality, artistic images that align with the quality & aesthetic of the WPC brand.
    • Ensure consistency in style and artistic approach

    Collaboration:
    • Work closely with owner and other team members to achieve a cohesive visual narrative.
    • Take direction effectively and contribute creatively to achieve the desired outcome.

    Client Interaction:
    • Maintain a prompt, professional and personable demeanor when interacting with clients.
    • Assist in creating a positive and comfortable atmosphere during events.

    Equipment Management:
    • Carefully handle and maintain photography equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    • Be prepared to troubleshoot technical issues during shoots.

    Timeline Adherence:
    • Work efficiently to meet deadlines and adhere to the timeline of photography events.
    • Manage time effectively to capture key moments without disruption.

    Representing the Brand:
    •     Uphold the brand's image and reputation through professionalism and exceptional work.
    • Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude that aligns with the company's values.

    Client Privacy and Confidentiality:

    1. A detail-oriented self-starter with prior experience in the photography industry or within a creative small business team

    4. Maintain a well-organized schedule and communicate effectively with the team to ensure alignment and coordination of event coverage.

    5. Uphold professionalism and discretion while interacting with clients and other vendors during events, representing Willow Photo Co in a positive light.

    6. Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in videography techniques to continuously enhance skills and stay competitive in the field.

    7. Provide feedback and support to other team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

    8. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, confidentiality, and quality assurance.

    9. Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, striving to exceed client expectations with every project.

  • 1. Proficiency in operating professional video equipment, including cameras, lenses, stabilizers, and audio recording devices.

    2. Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and framing techniques to capture visually stunning footage in various lighting conditions and environments.

    3. Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve, with the ability to edit and assemble footage into cohesive narratives.

    4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, lead photographers, and other vendors during wedding events.

    5. Attention to detail and a keen eye for capturing candid moments and emotional highlights throughout the day.

    6. Time management and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    7. Creativity and artistic vision to conceptualize and execute unique storytelling approaches that reflect the personalities and emotions of the couple.
